The Beautiful Game
Behind the whistles that blow every game, there’s more going on than the 22 players on the pitch. Tension arises between club presidents, coaches, match officials and regional administration. Issues like corruption, match-fixing and financial inequality are yet to be addressed, while clubs are doing everything they can to win. Will delegates choose to fight for the fairness of the game, or will delegates win at any cost?
The Fédération Internationale de Football Association, or FIFA in short, is the global governing body of association football. FIFA is in charge of overseeing the rules of the game, managing finance, organizing major events and serving the purpose of promoting the game. Delegates will portray as club presidents, governing bodies of FIFA and affiliated regional organizations, coaches and referees to discuss two important topics: addressing match-fixing issues and setting a financial fair-play rule.
This committee is considered to be an intermediate-level committee. Previous knowledge of the sport can be helpful, but isn’t required, as the background guide provides comprehensive information on the context.
