Shaurya Shah
Shaurya Shah is an individual who yearns for knowledge and has the drive to accomplish numerous achievements. Although his chronic clash royale addiction does cause some hindrance, his dedication to MUN is noteworthy and meaningful. Whether it is working on Chainsaw Man: Coexistence or procrastinating the preparation required for a conference, Shaurya is extremely fond of MUN and its community. Aside from MUN, Shaurya is intrigued by all topics related to science and technology. This has led him to push himself in order to become an aerospace engineer in the future striving to create an impact on the world wherever possible. Shaurya had begun his Model UN journey due to numerous friends asking him to join, and after participating in one conference, he had fallen in love with the thrill that is Model UN. Through new perspectives and lenses, Shaurya hopes to bring diplomacy to the following committees in which he participates.

Noah Zhou Girard
Noah Zhou Girard is a very curious individual. With his strong interest in debate and global issues, he was coerced into Model UN. Through MUN, he is able to enjoy exploring new perspectives, public speaking, and critical thinking. Outside of MUN, he keeps busy with a wide range of hobbies - he works out regularly, plays games like Valorant or DBZ Dokkan Battle, and spends countless hours reading books and manga. His friends often describe him as a troll, both figuratively and literally, as he enjoys keeping conversations lighthearted and entertaining. At the same time, he values meaningful discussions, especially when it comes to anything biology, chemistry, math related. By combining humor with everyday activities, he hopes to bring a new perspective to the table. As the USG of Technology, he looks forward to ensuring that delegates have the best possible experience through efficient use of tech and innovative solutions.

Barin Ainuddin
Say hi to Barin! As a Grade 12 student, she can often be found on the academic hustle, playing Roblox with her friends, or digging deep into Operation Cyclone and its intricacies for the UNGA-4 General Assembly. Barin joined MUN to learn more about global issues, but she ended up staying for the opportunity to make connections, think critically, and practise debating with others. Outside of school, Barin spends most of her time helping out at her mosque, reading classics, and, of course, being an avid Reels scroller. Whether it’s creating content for MUN or hanging out with friends, Barin always looks for ways to grow and challenge herself. She is looking forward to WiseMUN 2025, meeting new people, and seeing all the intriguing ways delegates approach, and hopefully, solve problems.

Diya Kunisetty
Meet Diya Kunisetty, a full IB grade 11 student who is passionate about entrepreneurship and equality. When she’s not working on MUN, she serves as the Chief Operating Officer of her school’s Business Club, a volunteer who loves writing letters and creating artwork at senior homes, a piano enthusiast, and aspiring tennis player (who usually tends to double fault). Diya joined MUN back in grade 10 as an attempt to improve her public speaking skills and broaden her perspective on global inequality. However, she’s also happened to have made some amazing friendships, skills, and long lasting memories along the way. For WiseMUN 2025, Diya is thrilled to serve as the Vice Chair for UNDESA, and is committed to making sure that this year’s conference is the most exciting and memorable one yet. We can't wait to see you there!

Whether he is working hard behind the scenes to prepare for WiseMUN 2025 or enjoying his studies, Jash is fully committed to doing great work! Jash is dedicated to improving experiences in clubs, like Robotics and MUN, for all. As a participant in Model United Nations, Jash has learned essential leadership skills that support his diplomatic skills and global awareness. Jash is driven by a desire to have an impact by leveraging his skills to benefit our school community and eventually the world.

Eason Wang
As a Grade 12 IB student with a passion in international relations and history, Eason is an engaged member of the ModelUN community at Wise Wood. Having chaired the Salem Witch Trials and winning multiple awards, Eason enjoys the thrill in delegating on pressing issues. Outside of ModelUN, Eason participates in a wide range of extracurricular activities, including many in which he plays a leadership role, such as the Henry Wise Wood Business Club, the International Students Club, and the school’s curling teams. When Eason is procrastinating on his background guides, you can find him planespotting at different airports, watching a Premier League game or exploring new biking trails across the city. Eason is very excited to build new friendships with different delegates, so the next time you see him, don't be hesitant to say hi!

Arian K. Hussaini
Say salam to Arian! But, he’s probably too busy to respond (or not, he is somehow the busiest person on Earth, but still responds to texts in under 20 minutes!). Arian is someone very involved in politics and foreign policy. So, MUN is like a way to help practice and spread some ideas he's gotten through this involvement. Arian is a big public speaker, so it would seem that he only cares about the public speaking part of MUN. Wrong! MUN, to Arian, is a way of practicing diplomacy, creating bonds, and adding logs to the dwindling campfire of his social life (99 nights in the forest reference…get it?). Even though Arian may be a Gen Alpha, feel free to reach out to him! He’s been doing MUN, Debate, and Speech for a pretty long time now, and he loves learning something (or, someone!) new about them! Aaand, he’s playing Roblox again…

Aadya Tahlyan
This is Aadya Tahlyan: a committed and curious grade 12 IB student who enjoys balancing her academic and extracurricular pursuits. As a member of the Air Cadet program, she has developed strong leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills while also discovering the importance of discipline and service. Outside of cadets, Aadya enjoys science, writing, and especially baking with her family and friends. She also designed and built a device aimed at supporting individuals with rare diseases, to hoped create meaningful impact. In Model United Nations, Aadya has embraced her love of debate and diplomacy, most notably serving as Head Chair of the popular Salem Witch Trials Committee at WISEMUN 24’. She values MUN as a space where collaboration and creativity come together to solve pressing issues while strengthening her own voice as a leader.

Hassan Omar Abdrabou
Whether you find him watching anime his homeboys recommend or sleeping in the middle of the day, just know Hassan still manages to focus on MUN. From his first conference where he stayed silent for the entirety of it, his rapporteuring and soon to be Vice Chairing for the upcoming iteration of WiseMUN, Hassan has experienced all there is to enjoy within MUN. Although the initial reason he joined was simply an extra curricular for his future, his passion for the intensive, thrill and shocking outcomes of each and every conference kept him at the club. Hassan plans to enjoy his last year of high school, attending conferences to meet new people and experince moments to cherish for years to come.

Dara (Oluwafeyidara) Oguntoyinbo
This is Dara Oguntoyinbo. You’re never quite sure where you’ll find her and what you’ll find her doing. She might be sitting in bed crocheting, or maybe in the field practicing her 1st in Alberta discus throws. Also a very good chance she’s off studying somewhere. You could also find Dara baking, or reading a piece of classical literature. However, you can also find her working on her public speaking skills. Be it through debate or MUN. She loves the welcoming environment that MUN offers and the crazy ideas crafted and formatted through sessions of fascinating debates. The fact that she’s relatively new to the whole program doesn’t stop her from going out and still having fun. She is so thrilled to be a part of the team that is bringing WiseMUN 2025 to life and can’t wait for all the fantastic chaos that is sure to ensue.

Taylor Morand
Meet Taylor Morand, a Grade 11 student at Henry Wise Wood High School. He has countless hobbies and is open to exploring new things and giving each one a fair shot. He believes that you never know if you like something until you have tried it at least once. Most of the time, you can find him bouldering, playing Mario Kart and RISK, or talking with anyone he can get hold of. Taylor originally joined Model UN because he found a YouTube video on it in 8th grade and thought it would help him to get over his fear of public speaking. To him, Model UN isn’t just about winning awards; it’s about finding unique facts and perspectives of different nations and meeting people with similar hobbies and interests to his. He hopes he can meet new people at WiseMUN!
