USG of Technology Team
Ved Agwekar
Meet Ved Agwekar, whose name means "knowledge," derived from ancient Hindu scriptures known as the Vedas. A Grade 11 IB student, he tries to embody tenacity, never backing down from a challenge and always determined. When he isn't studying, Ved stays up-to-date with current events and politics, which is what led him down the path to MUN. As a head chair and one of the USGs of Technology of WiseMUN, he's committed to the quality of his school's upcoming conference. Apart from academics, he volunteers to coach basketball teams at the YMCA, where he shares his love for the sport and mentors younger players. And when he's not on the court, you'll often find him exploring the world of sneakers, a personal interest that often dries his wallet up. Ved sees MUN as an opportunity for the future generation of diplomats to prosper, and hopes to see you all at WiseMUN 2024!
Mike Yu
Meet Michael Yu, a grade 12 IB student with aspirations of becoming an engineer, possessing the skills and critical thinking needed for not only Model UN but also the role of USG of Tech. He has a passion for various fields, from economics to music to travelling. He is eager to return for WiseMUN 2024 as Vice Chair of the International Baccalaureate Organization SA. When he isn't working to enhance WiseMUN 2024, Mike can be found working as a youth leader, hiking in Fish Creek, or tutoring in various subjects. Mike believes that Model UN is an excellent forum for collaboration, training future world leaders, and for making valuable connections. He looks forward to a unique and unforgettable conference.

Yasmin Javad Zadeh
Meet Yasmin Javad Zadeh, a Grade 11 student with a hunger for learning and a passion for Model UN. Yasmin is dedicated to learning and expanding her knowledge in many areas such as philosophy, literature, and history. When not working on the WiseMUN Instagram or attending conferences, Yasmin spends her time teaching piano and exploring the city’s hidden coffee shops and bookstores. She is an active member within her community and spends time helping newcomers settle down. From learning about human behaviour to applying philosophical concepts in committee, MUN has been a community to apply her knowledge and expertise. For Yasmin, Model UN is not just a club, but a place to better her skills while feeling right at home with the people around her. She is ecstatic to be a part of WiseMUN 2024 and is looking forward to creating a memorable experience as Crisis Director!​
Jash Savla
Meet Jash Savla, a grade 11 student who participates in taekwondo and pursues technology and maths with great enthusiasm. Whether he is working hard behind the scenes to prepare for WiseMUN 2024 or enjoying his studies, Jash is fully committed to doing great work! Jash is dedicated to improving experiences in clubs, like the Business Club and MUN, for all. As a participant in Model United Nations, Jash has learned essential leadership skills that support his diplomatic skills and global awareness. Jash is driven by a desire to have an impact by leveraging his skills to benefit our school community and eventually the world.

Eason Wang
Eason Wang, a grade 11 IB student, is very excited to take part in WiseMUN 2024! Eason participates in a wide range of extracurricular activities, including many in which he plays a leadership role. Eason is particularly passionate about his involvement in the Henry Wise Wood Business Club, the International Students Club, and the school golf and curling teams. Outside of school, he’s an avid advocate for the STEM field and entrepreneurship as well as an overly-passionate aviation enthusiast. According to Eason, ModelUN changed his life, teaching him to work with others collaboratively and diplomatically while developing strong public speaking skills, and most importantly, introducing him to lifelong friends!

Sofia Ibrahimi
Meet Sofia Ibrahimi, an energetic Grade 11 IB student who’s balancing academics and clubs— Model UN standing as the core of it all. When she’s not engaged in her delegate affair responsibilities, you can find her immersed in the world of theatre— it’s her passion after all! You can typically find her acting in school productions or rehearsing for a performance for her next audience. Whether she’s performing on a stage or in a speech, to Sofia, the worlds of MUN and theatre run closely parallel. For Sofia, MUN is about more than just conferences; it’s a chance to socialise, connect with classmates, and explore different viewpoints. She deeply treasures other delegates' shared experiences and recognizes Model UN isn’t just a conference — it’s a vibrant community where meaningful discussions and lifelong friendships blossom. If you ever run into her, don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation — she’d love to create more unforgettable memories during this year's upcoming WiseMUN 2024!
Farzan Toor
Meet Farzan Toor, a grade 12 student at Henry Wise Wood and deeply passionate Model United Nations delegate with multiple awards and conferences under his belt. Farzan is a Head Chair for Calgary MUN, has experience as a rapporteur at WiseMUN 2023, all in addition to being USG of Delegate Affairs at WiseMUN 2024. When Farzan is not making passionate speeches in Model UN and discussing relevant political topics in conferences with his peers, you can find him playing golf, making lego, seeking to understand global events, or working on his car. Farzan is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about all things cars, so much so that he currently has a job at a Ford dealership working in the garage with technicians learning more about the automotive industry.

Ali Abzakh
Meet Ali Abzakh! When he isn't playing Civilization 6 or engaging in high-level homework procrastination, you can probably find him working on MUN in some form. Whether that may be through combing through the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea for his South China Sea Special Assembly, or devising new ways to train delegates at Henry Wise Wood and beyond, Ali is deeply immersed in all that MUN has to offer. It's not just about the exhilarating debate and meticulous preparation for Ali, but the connections and friendships he's formed through attending these various conferences. Ali is beyond excited to continue forming connections through his Grade 11 year, and wishes to facilitate that as best as possible for other delegates at WiseMUN 2024.
Pujeet Garg
Meet Jeet Garg. He is a Grade 11 IB student who is deeply interested in history, politics, cars, and soccer. You can find him engaged in a number of ways within the school and outer community whether it be clubs or councils. These include things like Business, Robotics, and Debate as well as programs outside of school all the while expanding his knowledge on the world around him. You can also talk to him about La Liga standings and JDM vehicles. For Jeet, Model United Nations is a way for him to learn more about the world around him, connect to the leaders of tomorrow, and think critically on the issues affecting the world.

Sasha Oleksandr Panchenko
Meet Oleksandr Panchenko, also known as Sasha, a Grade 12 IB student at Henry Wise Wood High School with a passion for learning and a love for both the humanities and technical fields alike. Sasha initially joined the Model UN club soon after moving to Canada, seeking to improve his English and public speaking skills. However, he quickly became captivated by the vibrant community and the unparalleled experiences that Model UN offers. Now serving as the USG of Design and a member of the Dais for the IBO committee, Sasha is committed to making WISEMUN 2024 an exceptional conference. Leveraging his graphic design expertise, he has devoted countless hours to creating visually striking background guide covers for the second iteration of our conference, ensuring that it will leave a lasting impression on all delegates.
Anvaya Srivastava
Meet Anvaya Srivastava, a grade 12 student at Henry Wise Wood High School pursuing the IB Diploma programme. To him, Model UN has been transformative, broadening his global awareness and sharpening his public speaking skills. Extra-curricularly, Anvaya is engaged in the Cadet Program, enjoys volunteering in his community, and loves all things graphic design. In his free time, you can probably find Anvaya dabbling in philosophical books such as Dune, or cooking up some electronic music. He is excited to see you at WiseMUN 2024!

Rin Endovitskaya
Meet Rin Endovitskaya, a grade 12 IB student ecstatic about taking part in the second iteration of WiseMUN this December! This is her third and final year with the club, and she is looking forward to making this conference the most memorable experience yet for delegates of all levels and goals. As part of the USG Committees team, Rin is dedicated to ensuring quality — from background guides to committee rooms. MUN has allowed Rin to hone public speaking skills, quick thinking, creativity, and diplomacy, not to mention some of the best memories and friendships with amazing, talented people. Outside of the club, you can find Rin scouring the mountains during long hikes, volunteering, or skateboarding. She is always happy to answer any questions about the club or the conference, and hopes to see you at WiseMUN this year!
Benjamin Paulus Goud
Meet Benjamin Paulus Goud, a grade 12 IB student dedicated to Model UN. As someone who enjoys public speaking, Benjamin avidly participates in Model UN and debate tournaments, trying his hardest in both to be the best speaker he can be. Since joining Model UN in grade 10 (as he loves public speaking and the networking opportunities available), Ben has spent many of his conferences in crisis committees. These committees are some of Benjamin's favourites, as the overarching story and unique concepts always seem to pique his interest. Besides Model UN, Benjamin also enjoys debate, video games, hiking, and finding excuses to hang out with friends. ​​
