European Commission Special Assembly

Composed of representatives of the 27 members states of the European Union, the European Commission is the Union’s highest deliberative body. Given the responsibility of drafting EU laws, the Commission is a supremely important body within the EU. Delegates will be given that authority, and the responsibility to address some of the pressing issues facing the EU today. Amongst these, Delegates will tackle the sovereign debt crisis and the future of nuclear energy in the EU. Armed with a comprehensive understanding of the subject, delegates will work together to find consensus and, perhaps, succeed. Due to the complexity of some of the topics discussed in this committee, it is recommended that delegates are of an intermediate-to-advanced level of experience.
